Questions from Wednesday (11/01/06) regarding the doctrine of providence
We began our study of chapter two on Wednesday night regarding the doctrine of Providence (part 1). There were a lot of questions but they all centered around these points:
1. If this is true then what is the point? Why do we pray or do anything if God is in complete control of all things?
2. How do we know this is true–the Bible and what we believe–when the cults believe just as strongly?
3. The question of evolution came up. That one always gives me a headache. This time it was stated in such a way that God providentially causes species to evolve…something like that.
These all have to do with Providence–not so much #3 but for the most part they do.
